Mission Everest: Precision Logistics Behind a Record-Breaking Climb for Veterans' Charities

When four British veterans and reservists set out to summit Everest and return within just seven days, they were chasing more than a record. The team’s goal was clear:

The Mission Everest team delivered on the mountain, returning safely after a demanding ascent through avalanches and jet stream winds. And they continue to drive towards their fundraising goal — bringing critical support and visibility to causes that matter.

At Starlinks, we were honoured to support this mission by providing logistical expertise behind the scenes. In a climb where timing, precision, and risk mitigation were vital, getting critical equipment and supplies to the right place, at the right moment, was one of many factors contributing to success.

Delivering for a purpose

The expedition was more than fast. It reflected a forward-thinking approach to modern mountaineering — one that closely aligns with our values:

As expedition leader Garth Miller FRGS shared, success at high altitude comes down to many elements: discipline, teamwork, oxygen systems, Sherpa partnership, mountaineering expertise, and dialled logistical support.

That is where Starlinks played its role. We are proud to have helped ensure that the mission was equipped and supported to achieve its goals — not just on the mountain, but in driving meaningful impact for veterans and service families.

Beyond the summit

The Mission Everest team — Alistair Carns, Kevin Godlington, Anthony 'Staz' Stazicker CGC, and Garth Miller FRGS — continues to inspire. With more than £100,000 already raised, they remain focused on achieving their full £1 million target, with every donation going directly to the charities involved.

At Starlinks, we believe that logistics should enable outcomes that matter. In this mission, that meant helping a team of veterans demonstrate resilience, purpose, and a commitment to supporting others.

We extend our congratulations to the entire Mission Everest team. It was a privilege to contribute in a small way to a climb that represents something far greater than reaching the summit alone.
