Starlinks Expands Jeddah Warehousing Capacity with New Atlas Ambient Logistics Hub

As Saudi Arabia continues its transformation under Vision 2030, the logistics sector is playing an increasingly important role in supporting economic growth and rising consumer demand across the Kingdom. In response to these changes, Starlinks is advancing its ongoing expansion strategy to build a fully integrated logistics network, enabling businesses to operate at scale with greater speed, control, and operational excellence.

‍

Jeddah has long been one of the Kingdom’s most important logistics hubs, serving as a key gateway for regional distribution and supporting supply chains across the western and southern regions. With an established warehousing footprint in Jeddah, Starlinks continues to expand its capacity in strategically important locations to support the evolving needs of businesses across the region.

‍

This growing demand was one of the main reasons behind Starlinks’ decision to expand its warehousing network in Jeddah. The launch of Atlas Ambient Logistics Hub strengthens the company’s ability to support FMCG and retail brands with more reliable and regionally distributed warehousing solutions, as Starlinks continues building the infrastructure needed to support the next phase of growth across the Kingdom.

‍

Introducing Atlas Ambient Logistics Hub

Atlas Ambient Logistics Hub is Starlinks’ latest addition to its warehousing network in Jeddah, developed to support FMCG and high-velocity industries that require reliable ambient storage, consistent product flow, and efficient access to key markets. Atlas Phase One is now fully operational, growing Starlinks’ overall warehousing capacity in Jeddah to more than 20,000 pallet positions.

‍

Atlas Ambient Warehouse in Jeddah

‍

The first phase includes:

▪️8,100 sqm of warehousing space.

▪️10,000 pallet positions.

▪️Ambient storage from 18°C to 23°C.

▪️24/7 operations for uninterrupted product flow.

▪️6 dock doors for inbound and outbound operations.

‍

Located in Agility Park, Jeddah, Atlas is strategically positioned to support distribution across the western region and beyond. Its location combines convenient access to key transportation infrastructure with proximity to major demand centers, helping brands move products efficiently into Jeddah and onward to other markets across the Kingdom.

‍

▪️Direct access to Jeddah’s major highways.

▪️Proximity to Jeddah Islamic Port.

▪️Proximity to key consumption zones.

▪️Faster distribution across the city.

▪️Strong connectivity to national transportation routes.

‍

More than a warehousing facility, Atlas is integrated into Starlinks’ broader logistics ecosystem, connecting storage with streamlined inbound and outbound logistics, integrated transportation solutions, operational visibility and reporting, and a scalable supply chain design.

‍

By bringing these capabilities together, Atlas allows FMCG and high-velocity businesses to move beyond basic storage and manage their inventory and distribution through a more connected operation. This gives brands greater flexibility to manage daily volumes, respond to changing demand, and scale their distribution operations across the Kingdom.

‍

Why We Chose to Expand Our Warehousing Footprint in Jeddah

Jeddah’s strategic location makes it one of the Kingdom’s most important logistics centers. Its position on the Red Sea, combined with strong road connectivity, supports efficient imports and distribution across the western region and beyond.

‍

Jeddah’s strategic location offers several advantages:

▪️Red Sea Gateway for Imports.

▪️Serving the Western Region Market.

▪️Proximity to High-Demand Religious Tourism Cities.

▪️Connecting Distribution to Southern Regions.

▪️Direct Access to Major Transportation Routes.

‍

Jeddah’s position on the Red Sea gives it direct access to major international shipping routes and makes it a key entry point for imported goods into Saudi Arabia. For FMCG and retail brands that rely heavily on imports, having warehousing capacity close to Jeddah Islamic Port can help streamline the movement of goods from port to warehouse, reduce unnecessary inland movements, and improve supply chain responsiveness.

‍

The location also puts inventory closer to some of the Kingdom’s most active consumption markets, which was an important consideration in Starlinks’ strategic decision to expand its warehousing footprint in Jeddah. Makkah and Madinah attract millions of visitors from around the world throughout the year, creating sustained demand for a wide range of FMCG and retail products. With warehousing capacity in Jeddah, brands can position inventory closer to these high-demand consumption markets and respond more efficiently to changes in consumption and replenishment requirements across the western region.

‍

Beyond the western region, Jeddah’s strong road connectivity supports distribution toward the southern regions and other markets across the Kingdom. Direct access to major transportation routes gives brands greater flexibility to move inventory between regions and build more responsive distribution networks. For businesses serving multiple markets, this creates an opportunity to use Jeddah as a strategic distribution point within a broader national warehousing and transportation network.

‍

How Atlas Supports FMCG and Retail Distribution

Atlas expands Starlinks’ warehousing capacity in Jeddah, strengthening our ability to support FMCG and retail brands across the western region. By placing inventory closer to key demand centers, the facility helps brands improve replenishment cycles, maintain product availability, and respond more effectively to changes in demand. It also provides additional capacity to handle fluctuations driven by promotions, seasonal peaks, and changing market requirements.

‍

Atlas supports these operations through:

▪️Fast dock-to-stock receiving.

▪️Efficient pick paths and order consolidation.

▪️Multiple dock doors for separate inbound and outbound flows.

▪️Integrated transportation for nationwide distribution.

▪️Real-time inventory and operational visibility.

Atlas Ambient Warehouse in Jeddah

‍

Atlas is not designed to operate as a standalone warehouse. It is integrated into Starlinks’ broader national warehousing and transportation network, giving brands access to coordinated logistics capabilities across the Kingdom. This allows brands to position inventory more strategically across different markets, coordinate the movement of goods between regions, and balance inventory closer to demand.

‍

By combining our expanding warehousing capacity in Jeddah with national network connectivity, Starlinks gives brands greater flexibility as their distribution requirements evolve, while supporting more consistent service levels across their retail and distribution networks.

‍

What’s Next: Phase Two of Atlas

Phase Two of Atlas Ambient Logistics Hub will significantly expand the facility’s footprint and warehousing capacity, bringing the total area to 35,000 sqm with 30 dock doors supporting high-volume inbound and outbound operations. The Phase Two expansion is planned to be fully operational by the end of 2026, adding further ambient warehousing capacity to Atlas and enabling Starlinks to support a broader range of FMCG and high-velocity distribution requirements from Jeddah.

‍

With Phase Two, Atlas will further strengthen Starlinks’ ability to serve the western region while supporting distribution to other markets across the Kingdom. The additional capacity will provide brands with greater flexibility to scale their operations, manage growing volumes, and position inventory closer to demand.

‍

The launch of Atlas reflects Starlinks’ continued focus on expanding its logistics network in Jeddah and strategically important locations across Saudi Arabia. With Phase One now operational and Phase Two on the way, Atlas is another step toward building a more connected, scalable, and responsive logistics network for brands operating across the Kingdom.
